Samurai smog checks in different locations
« on: November 14, 2010, 06:52:10 PM »
I was thinking of possibly moving and was wondering how hard it is to pass smog in Eugene, OR; Portland, OR; or around the Phoenix, AZ area.

I have a 1.6 8 valve right now and would like to upgrade but am afraid of not passing the smog.

This all pertains to a Samurai with 1.6 16-valve or a 2 Liter.  Any information on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. :police:

In Eugene, there is no smog testing. In Portland, it's a tail pipe test with no inspection... I THINK

Well, i live in the smog check capital of america. California.... Several of use has gone through it with no problems.  Actually it was easy.  The issue has not been tailpipe emmisions, it just the visual of all the parts that thier computer says that it needs.  as long as it has all the parts from the original car and runs good. no problem. I can't comment on other states processes, but Ime sure it is less than California.
