After looking for a month or so I got one for $900, but it needed a motor and was rough on the inside. Al but the hood was clean and it had 3 tops with it and alum wheels. I have about $1500 invested now with motor and lift parts I got for it.

I saw many in Nor Cal are for well under $2000 that were stock and very clean (pics and description).

Anyway, for CL try "searchtempest" which lets you search CL a lot easier.

I use craigspro, sounds similar to what your suggesting. My search was a little more limited, I only wanted a tin top, your right about there being many soft tops for under $2000. In the hard tops, I found under $2000 gets a not clean or non running salvaged title rig.

Just wanted to update, that white tin top that I saw in that parking lot a year ago (pic above), I ended up buying it. I won't go into how but I thought It was a funny coincidence that I ended up with that one.  It seemed nicer when someone else owned it, I have another thread with some of the issues it has.

To a Suk or a girl ?

A zuk, I'm just not sure I have the time, or money for such a needy rig. I've been driving a Toyota Tacoma for the past 9 yrs. and it has more miles than the samurai but trouble free.

Once you them then to a happy state the Zuk's will be pretty good to you.
