Adapter plate for a beginning, is the 1.3 Injected? MPI or TBI?
You might be able to use the old EFI to run the bigger 1.6
engine, you might have to swap injectors or the new MPI manifold
could work with old EFI system.

The problem with your ? is nobody in the USA has easy access to
a Jimny so we really don't know what the details of your engines
are so I'm just speculating here, but if you send some detailed
pictures of both engines we might be able to guess better  ;)

both have mpi engines G13 bb  the next models here had M15a engine which have different gearboxes mounts and computers the problem with one is a hole in the sump below #2 piston the guy said some hot metal fell onto the road but it was too hot to pick up, i thought it could have been big ends I suspect the crank sensor failed ... So thought it could be opportune time to inset the larger engine   to give an idea the wreckers here want $1650-1900 for a Gi3b and $1850 for a G16B so price for replacements not such a big deal I wish I had access to the TD 1-9 mototr you guys have in the states ....

Both being MPI engines I would swap the 1.6 in there and use the old EFI
to run it, the most I can think of would be check and swap over the sensors
that are needed by the old EFI to run properly, if you are lucky it might have
all the same sensors and plugs to work without any mods, but I'm not sure
about all that.

The swap is pretty much the same as doing a Samurai, depending on how much lift and which G16B you have you may need to use the Jimny oil pan and modify the pick up pipe to suit. Otherwise you can use an adapter plate for a Samurai bit you will have to modify one of the engine mounts, i forget which, I think its the UK drivers side. Retain all the existing EFI set up but use the injectors from the 1.6, the fuelling will be a bit out at 4000rpm but most people don't seem to notice. If you can get an engine from a GV rather than a Baleno because the Baleno has different manifolds and oil pan.
