I continue to see numerous questions about what size tires do i need with this lift and such on all the forums. Now that zukiwold offers a sub forum for just the gen 1 platform track/kicks lets try put a cheat sheet in here for all the gen 1 track/kick lovers. So what we need is a picture and tire size you are running with amount of lift and if cutting was involved or not. This will help the future zuki builders Should take all the guess work out of it.

Let's start with these specs, 96Kicker, to make sure EVERYONE can list all the same info without leaving anything out...
Base vehicle: (2dr, 4dr, x90, etc.)
Lift: (body/suspension, height, any modifications or tweaks of any kind?)
Wheels: (diameter, width, backspacing)
Tires: (type of tire, sizes---height, width, rim size)
Trimming: (yes/no, if yes, then describe where and maybe some measurements?  Changing bumpers also can increase clearances)
Rubbing: y/n
Driving manners: how does it do city/highway, any gearing mods to account for tires, etc.

I'll provide mine first because it's not too complicated, and I have pics of how it sits now:
Base vehicle: 90 Tracker, 2dr tintop
Lift: 3", suspension, Calmini, UNmodified
Wheels: 15x7, 3.75" BS
Tires: 30x9.50R15LT Goodyear Wrangler MT/R (not the new Kevlar version)
Trimming: NO, but the Trail Tough tube bumpers open up gobs of clearance, both front and rear
Rubbing: NONE for normal driving, only minor rubbing at full flex/turn on frame side.  Nothing that prevents the car from moving forward or anything that tears up tires and fenders.  I have NOT adjusted any steering bumpstops.
Driving manners: with the stock 8v, it flies down highway in 5th gear

OME coils with 1inch spacer
2inch body lift


31 inch tire with slight trimming of inner fender
no rub and daily driver with 16V-140k miles

235/75 R15 MTR's will fit on with no trimming as long as you don't use an offset rim or wheel spacers:



With offset wheel spacers you will get rubbing.  A 1" spacer in the rear and 3/4" spacer in the front is enough to solve that issue.  Some light front bumper trimming was required:



With the right set of tires you can squeeze a set of 30x9.5" tires onto a 2 door with 4 door front springs and some bumper trimming.  The front tires do rub on the top of the fenders on full compression and the steering bump-stops were adjusted to stop rubbing against the frame:

I love the baja one, is pretty much stock suspension or did you beef it up somehow?

Base vehicle: 2dr soft top, 5spd, 8V
Lift: GV coils F/R (3 inch lift on front 1 inch on rear) **APPROX**
Wheels: stock sidekick rims
Tires: kumho MT's 31x10.5
Trimming: none so far. close on flex with rear fenders.
Rubbing: YEP! rubs bad on rear flex, they stuff right up into the fenders and rub on the inner fenders, they clear the fender lip by 3/8", i want to roll the lip to have more clearance. they also rub on rear compression (heavy weight on the vehicle) they rub on the frame up front on tight turns, even after hammering the frame, going to adjust the steering stops soon. no other rubbing though

Driving manners: i drive it hard, it still runs on the highway nicely (5th is useable!) bit slow to accel but worth the tires.

i was looking for a cheap lift to throw under the truck, and to get some more rear weight carrying ability. one thing i would change is a 2 inch spacer on top of the rear coils and extend the bump stops. get the rear a bit higher as it sits a bit unlevel now...

i run these for offroad only. i love the sound of them and the looks i get on the street but the thought of wearing out those tires doing so makes me cry... makes the truck look like a monster.

i run 235/75r15's for street tires, only rub on the frame same as the 31's at full turn. adjusting the steering stops would solve that issue.
i have pictures of it parked next to a stock kick on 205's and of the rear stuffed

I had the same problem with rubbing on the top of a rear fender once I switched to running some wheel spacers.  Once I installed a 1" rear spring spacer the issue was fixed, now it can't quite compress far enough to rub.
