relays are supposed to take the high loads, but not get too hot,
sounds like a high load on the relays

It does have a high output fuel pump, the same one my brother has on his 96 tracker. Mine has been on quite awhile! Thanks

I measured resistance on the relay and it is suppose to be zero per the haines manual and mine is showing 11ohms. sound reasonable? I put the fuel regulator off of my old engine on today and it didn't change anything. the cutting in and out seems to only happen when it is getting warmed up. Not doing it when cold.

I wonder if the relay getting hot is causing a drop in pressure or something???

Try replacing the fuel pump relay with a wire paperclip, and see if the bogging
is still there, you do this by pulling the relay and check the diagram, I think it's
pin 85 and 87 that is the pump power feed

i back probed the relay wires and there was no drop in voltage i held the rpms at 1900 and it was doing the cut out deal and no viltage drop was witnessed. I'm going nuts here. have you any experience with checking the igniter or have you come across a bad one?

I unplugged the tps and it runs way better. i adlusted it to the specs in the haines book but it must be wrong so i will look it over! it seems i did this before i put my other (spare) tps in it and it ran better then! if it is adjusted right would this lean toward a bad computer!

I don't think the EFI computers go "bad" they just quit,
the term GIGO is what comes to mind, garbage in, garbage out.

A bad sensor or other input is the most common problem with
EFI systems, or some other hardware such as pump, filter or
injectors that cause bad running

Rhino should be able to give you a more exact answer to the
computer being bad

i think i got mine fixed traced the wires on the o2 senser the used two wires the same color so i swapped them been 3 days no boging  hope you get yours soon thanks for all the help

I agree but what is the darn GI. I really think it is an injector or maybe the igniter but odds say it isn't. My brother has a fuel pump that I'm really thinking o throwing it in! To month it really acts electrical! Thanks for the help and I'm glad fordguy got his going!

mine started to act up again but worse did some tests every thing was good  unpluged o2 senser all better will try a new o2 senser and see what happens

ya i did    the wiring on the o2 sense where way off i had some time testing things. It's been 2 weeks and running strong but rich mpg suck!!!!!!!!!
