hard startiing after sitting in sun?
« on: May 02, 2010, 01:48:07 PM »
I think this is a heat making pressure increase in my fuel tank issue, but I'm nto 100% sure.    what happens is, after my truck sits in the sun for awhile, it takes awhile to actually start and catch unless I open the throttle a little.

What I suspect is going on is its generating more pressure in the tank, and pushing it back through my return line from the carb or fuel pump, and into the motor, but I cant be sure.

any input?   this would be my carbed samurai, if it makes any difference.

Blocked fuel tank venting, or fuel tank cap

well, the fuel cap is new,  like only bought about a month or two ago,  but where might the vent be on the tank?

the top of the tank has a separator and a hose that goes to the canister in the front
