Broken Computer
« on: April 19, 2010, 09:41:12 AM »
Hi, I have recently purchased an 89 Suzuki sidekick-8V-MT-4x4. It will run, but if the injector is plugged in and you turn the key on it opens and stays open, thus flooding the engine. I would like to have this truck around the farm or out on the trail, and would like to fix this as cheaply as possible. I am not sure if the computers injector sector is bad or what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Cody

The ECU controls both sides of injector on an '89 8 valve, sounds to me like you have shorted driver.

Take a look at kick-fix's web site - www.kick-fix.com - there'll probably be something there to guide you.

pm redidbull on this board; he fixes them, he is an electronics tech.

Changed caps in 3 ECU's for me so far; all good, and very reasonable...
