1993 Geo Tracker
« on: March 26, 2010, 05:17:07 PM »
hi. im a new member to this forum and i just have aquired a 1993 geo tracker. it is completly stone stock and has been purchased to be my commuter to and from work. it is a 5spd and 4x4, and it gets better miles than my toyota or my wife's chevy 1500. anyways, i want to do some stuff to spice it up, but dont really know where to start. my yota has a 4 inch suspension lift and some 33's on it. it also has and arb winch compatable bumper with a mile-marker in it and some kc's on top of it. so i wanna do something to the tracker similar to the things i have done to the yota. i am in the military, and married, so i dont have a whole lot of spending money, so i imagine this is gonna be a slow process. im stationed at fort gordon, ga. so im just throwing all this out there to be open to suggestions. not looking to go very expensive, but i know that quality comes at a price... so anybody have and ideas?

First of all, WELCOME. You will get some great ideas from guys on here. If the guys on here do not know it, nobody does.

If you want to keep the good mileage DO NOT put BIG tires on it. You could put some more aggressive ones but 31's kill the MPG's. I make a 2" suspension that is pretty cheap if you want to lift it. My .02

Welcome, I was going to mention the 2" spacer lift, but Jeff
beat me to it  ;)

I second the 235-75-15 tires, not sure about the spacers, I ran
without spacers, very little rubbing and only at full lock, a little on
the frame, other than that, have fun

I had their 3" body lift on mine. It was a good kit and held up well. Of course I do feel their steel coil and strut spacers should be made of plastic like mine. LOL. From all that I have heard they make good stuff. It is a little overpriced compared to other coil/strut kits out there, like mine. Just my BIASED .02

I know that if I bought a second Trackick, I would definitely go
with Jeff's spacers.  There's a lot of good PR for Jeff on here :)

Nobody seems to be disappointed in them and
the price is right for a solid 2" of lift which will get you
pretty dang far with a good tire and a spool or locker.

dont want to bust the thread but can  I add a jeffs 2" spacers to just the front of a 3" calmini lifted 1993 tracker? I like that raised front look.....or is there another spacer out there that would just bring up the front???? Thanks!

A 2" spacer will give you 3" of lift on the front, and there won't be any
suspension or travel either, way too stiff.
