Got all the gauges mounted in the plate and hooked up today. As you see I still have a little trimming to do on the plastic trim. I had to quit to make dinner..... :P

I just bought these same gauges. Where did you plug the water temp sensor into.?

I bought the elecrtic versions. The thread on the engine is BSPT, not metric or ASPT. I had to buy adapters, but used the stock location for the sensor. I could not find a mechanical sender that would fit.

Remember, the gauges themselves are different from electric to mechanical. You can't just put a electric sender in there. I found all mine on E-bay for less than $200.00 including senders.

It is easier to see a 90* angle when you glance down that quick rather than a 60* angle. Trust me you have very little time to look.

That's an age old trick with old-school hot rodders and drag racers. If that tach needle is straight up 'you best be looking for another gear!

Ya, it's a good easy way to check all the gauges at a glance, needles all at 12 O,clock and your good

Hmmm now that makes sense. At first I just figured he had placed them in there temporarily to test fit. Didn't realize they stay that way. All pointed up is a really smart idea.

Stock cars and others do this, you never need to look at the numbers on the gauges
unless one is not at 12, then you give it a look to see if you are smoking an engine
