2002 Aerio Mass Air Flow plug wire replacement
« on: February 06, 2010, 07:58:53 PM »
Have a loose wire on plug going into MAF. Plastic housing on plug is broken, won't clip into MAF anymore. Repair shop has tried to fix but too loose and loses connection once you start driving. Have tried dealership and they are no help. All places say there is no part number for this particular wiring/plug that comes from engine. Trying to find in salvage yard, so far no luck. Any suggestions? Any other model that will interchange this particular piece?

Is it a loose wire in the plug or is the clip broken?

Is it the male side that is broken or the female side?

Depending on how it is broken you could probably use JB Weld.  Just make sure you clean everything really well first then let it sit for 8 hours after application.  If the plastic is smooth then score it with some sandpaper first.

If nothing else give Hawk Suzuki a call or check Craigslist for people parting out the rig in question.  Cut the wires and re-solder a working plug in place.
