Issues with V6 convertion

I have a 87 Zuk with a fuel injected 2.8 v6. I know the engine is good because it come out of my S-10 when it got a v8. I no longer have the S-10. And can not find the computers to run the EFI on the 2.8. So now I just want to convert it over to a carb just to get it on the road. Dose anyone know what I need to make the switch? This is the last thing I have to get done on the sammy to have it running. I have already done: Custom offset Toyota axles w/ cable activated E-lockers front and rear, custom 1/2 ton chevy drive shafts, YJ spring convertion, SPOA, relocated radiator in the cab behind the seats, a T-5 trany that came with the 2.8 and a MSD 6 to run it all. Everything is in the rig and ready to go except the engine. Any input you can offer would be awesome. I can't be the first person to switch a 2.8 to carb from EFI. I know its not hard to do I just need to know what all I will need and where to find the required materials. Thanks for any help you can offer. ???

sorry to burst your bubble, but the 2.8 is a boat anchor. on a positive note, you should be able to pull everything you need in a short trip to the junkyard. Why not just get an ecu and harness and put it together? Earlier 2.8s had carbs, but most of those have met their maker by now.

Tried that, It's came out of a 92' s-10. Apparently it has to have the ignition and 2 cpu's I only saved the main cpu. It sucks cause a few years ago I got a full new wire harness that wasn't cheap. I know 2.8 aren't popular. But I know that the 1 I got is an exception. It never once gave me any trouble in my s-10, and I wasn't very nice to it. Ive been to junkyards looking for the other cpu and ignition but no luck. I guess 92 was an odd ball year and supposedly won't work with other years cpu's. I think I need to find a new wiring shop that can get some results.

2.8's aren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be and you could just use a 3.4 from a early 4th gen F-body (Camaro Firebird) same block and has the H.O. heads like Fieros had. 160 hp is quite a bit more than the sub-100 zuki's came with. TBI 2.8s made about 30 hp and even more torque than a zuki cam with.

Well if you're gonna run it, I guess this would do it:

awesome! I just talked to another 4x4 custom shop and they said they would see if they can get the EFI working. If not I can get the manifold listed above and be done with it, and have it back on the road and trails. You guys rock!
