I posted an ad here in St. Louis about parts i had for sale, but i also mentioned i would do a lift kit installs. Whats a fair price i could charge for installing doing coil spacers, shocks, camber bolts, and strut spacers?

Parts cost + overhead costs + Labor costs = price installed.

The overhead (rent, tools, bookkeeping, phone, heat/cooling bills, etc) and labor costs (your time and the time of others) are the tricky things to figure out.

please keep in mind that you are then responsible for that persons vehicle. If you forget one bolt or something goes wrong then they will be able to sue you.

Waivers might as well be writen on toilet paper, I used to run an indoor karting track and they are not worth anything. We used them but just threw them out. It was just a bluff.

If you want to do this then incorporate a company and get insurance to cover your butt.

Having done the work myself I would say I would have paid 300-400 plus parts for the swap since you have to buy a coil compressor too.

ohh i think your all making this way too complicated! i think i will do a lift for 325 installed. it only takes 2 hours to lift these trackers. I used to lift jeep cherokees all the time and made a lot of friends and connections with the 4wd world. i see your point tho, i wouldnt want somebody to sue me..

I'm in St. Louis.  I would (and actually might) pay you 75 bucks to install coil spacers that I supply.   I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself, but there's a trade-off for convenience, and I don't have easy access to a nice, heated garage.

Knowing what's involved, I don't think you'd be out of line at all asking $150 or so for labor, plus the parts, just for that.  I'd actually pay $50 just for the facility to do it myself, to tell you the truth.

Now, liability and such, I have no idea.

325 isn't all that far removed from the "300-400 plus parts" that Cuthulu mentioned.  There's your ballpark, Tony.

yea thats the thing. i have a car lift and heated garage. and im out of work right now, so what better to do than to make some money from my garage doing what i love. send me a pm if you want me to do the lift for ya.

I have put a few coil/strut spacer lifts on and I normally charged $150 to do it. Of course they also bought the lift from me for $150 so it was $300 total.

BYW, tonyman if you need some lift kits i am in Highland IL and i make kits for the 98 and older models as well as 99 and newer. I am sure we could work something out.  .
