Anybody ever have the hardtop fly off their Tracker?
« on: November 30, 2009, 01:00:26 PM »
I was at the beach a couple of weeks ago and it was uber windy.  Even by Colorado standards and I was getting a bit nervious about my top flying off.  Anyone ever had it happen and if so what did it take?

I've had a fiberglass top blow off of a Sidekick. It took about 80 mph... Destroyed both pieces of the top.

I'd be happy to loan it to you sporadically during the summer.  Best thing about the removable hard top...summer time and full moon nights.

never had a top come off but the hoods poped open a few times on the zukes. Funny thing is that it opened once going 100km/h with no damage to the glass but when it poped open at 50 it blew the glass all to crap. It's pretty freaky when the hood pops open driving down the highway.....
