My 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara was a hit n run victim  >:(on Friday. We located a 2001 door at the junk yard.  ;) OOPS, the wire harness plugs are different! :P I am desperate; the owners manual is of no help and no one in Spokane that I know has a Suzuki shop manual. The mechanic doing the work is a jeep guy and is bashing suzuki's so I wanna get this done!

Which door are we talking about?
Do the wire colors match up?
Can you salvage the harness from the original door?

There's not that much wiring in the doors - unless it's the driver's side door AND you have power everything - it shouldn't be that hard to figure out.

I took a quick look at the two diagrams - power mirrors, power locks, power windows - the wires appear to be the same color for both years, makes it a matter of either cutting & splicing or swapping the connector bodies across - assuming that they use similar pins.

As for location - there will either be a connector inside the door itself or for a front door look behind the kick panel, and a rear door it'll be at the base of the pillar - it's been awile since I had the carpets out of my GV

That's because he can't come up with a scheme to get you to Just Empty Every Pocket...
