Hey guys finaly this week im going to be swapping in the H27 in my truck.

The orig 2.5 is leaking and i resealed the 2.7 so im gonna slap it in and gain a few hp with the stock 2.5 liter intake and maf.

LOL yeah i had a realy bad knee injury 1.5 years ago near lost my leg slowed me down a bit.

But next summer i will have my house and i have access to some guys who do CNC stuff so i will be buiding some interesting stuff for the GV's

Well motor is in and running just put 500km on it. The difference is very noticeable. Wish i did this years ago lol.

The low end grunt is better but the big difference is the midrange. In 5th gear i can tip into the throtle and it pulls threw traffic better on the highway.

Now im still using the H25 throtle body witch is 54mm, the H27 is 60mm and im going to be putting it in, in the next few weeks as i need to get a H27 Mas air and i wanna make sure it will work with the H25 ecu

Tomorrow im going to set the timing on it and then put the wideband on it and see what my air fuels are.

Cool....keep us posted.  I'm hoping to get a 2.7L into my 99 GV sometime in the next couple of years, when my 2.5L finally dies.  I'm curious to see if you'll run into any issues with the sensors, ECU, etc.  Hopefully everything will be smooth.  So, your GV was a 2001 w/manual transmission, and you've put the 2.7L from a manual transmission XL-7.  What year was the XL-7?  I see that they kept getting a little more hp gain with each model year of the XL-7.  I guess it peaked at 183hp around 2003, right?  Good luck.

The motor is out of a 2003 XL7 auto.

I swapped in the 2.7 with the 2.5 intake and tb and mas air.
