Is it a big deal to put 80-90 instead of 75-90 in manual trans of 96 Tracker

no, just be careful on the gl-# for a standard trans.
1987,1988,1988,1990 samurai's,  1953 m38a1,  1996 x-90,blue.1996 x-90 red.1994 2 door tracker.   only Dead Fish go with the flow.                No Hairy Nosed Wombats were ran over on the trail today.       My ZUK is Xenophobic.

What about using 80-90 to top up the differential?  I'm about 1/2 inch low in the rear.

no 80/90 is fine, I run it in all  trans, t-case, diffs
