Port the Mass Air Sensor! I noticed a good increase by de-screaning and porting the MAS. When you pull the screen assembly out there will be a step in the plastic housing. I blended that step out and ported thru the housing. Epoxy in the cavities on the outside of the MAS housing fixed it up nicely!
I ported the entire I.D from front to back and trimmed the air director around the sensor probe. The throttle response and power increase was well worth the trouble.
I also cut the ribs out of the air box lid and smoothed the sharp edges around the port that feeds air to the engine. More air volume above the filter feeds more air to the ported MAS! The 2 1/2 inch exhaust and header helped also.
Thanks,
Brent
