Muffler measurement/suggestions for 03 tracker...
« on: July 27, 2009, 11:00:49 AM »
I'm looking to upgrade the muffler on my 03 Tracker (2.0L 4cyl w/auto).  My last vehicle was a wrangler with the inline 6, and it had a great-low rumble at idle with a flowmaster 40.  Keeping in mind that my tracker is a 4cyl with a soft-top I would prefer not to have massive highway drone, but I would like a growl at idle/low rpms.  I know 4 cyl's can only sound so good.  My friend suggests a flowmaster 50, but I wonder if it would be too quiet?  What do you guys suggest?  Also, what is the factory entrance/exit exhaust diameter for the stock muffler?  I want to get an appropriately sized muffler that I can just swap right in with the factory pipes.

-Thanks
