Finished lift 2001 Grand Vitara
« on: July 26, 2009, 06:57:06 PM »
Finished my lift 1.5 spacers up front 2 inch in the rear (jeff1997 spacers), and 2 inch body lift (RROjavascript:void(0); . It sits a little higher than i thought it would, but i am going to be running 245/75 r16 buckshots so i should have very little body rub, but im still a little worried about frame rub. Anyone know if you can get a 16x7 wheel with 3 inch backspacing? Still have to finish rear bumper, get alignment and tires.

I've got some 16x7 rims with 3.5" backspace I want to sell, not sure if shipping would be a killer though.

I just got them put on friday. 245/75 r16 Maxxis Buckshots on stock steel wheels, and no rubbing lock to lock. I have not had it off the road any yet though. The rear is going to be where it will rub the most once it flexes.

Looks good!  Plan on doing the same to my '01 Tracker. Just curious how you lifted the bumpers.

Your truck looks great TNT.  These trucks just look s-o-o much better when they have a little more air under them and larger tires.  I've said it before; wish they had come from the factory like this with gears to match and I can't help but believe they would have appealed to more customers and sold even more of them than they have/did.  I'm sure  government and manufacturer concerns over them being "roll-over" prone was a factor.  You can't legislate common sense or morality... but that doesn't stop our government from continually trying to save us fromo ourselves.  I'm betting I could roll over a Corvette if I drove it like a moron.
