You can start by buying some used parts....

Or...you can buy whole kits like this....

That second one is an old post, so send him a PM.

Coil spacer lifts are easy to install and will give you a quick 2" or so of lift, so you can throw some 30" tires on.  Can be done in just a few hours.

I posted "Jeff's spacers" because I bought a set from him, but there are others here on this site that make and sell coil spring spacers.

If you can afford the $700 OME lift - do it (better than stock ride & flex). If not, get jeff's $200 spacer lift (stock ride & flex). Depending on the type of wheeling you do, you can go with 29-31" street / A/T or M/T tires. I prefer 29" M/T for the wheeling I do around here. For power, a 2" - 2 1/4" high flow exhaust is nice. Just about any header will do, unless you live in California - where the Doug Thorley is the only SMOG legal header. I highly recommend getting a locker if you plan on doing any "real" wheeling. I prefer 29" with lockers over 31" open. Same traction... lower center of gravity.

I recently switched to using a set of Grand Vitara front springs and have a 1" spacer in the back.  It brought the front end up about 2" and now it sits nice and level.  I still need to get a set of Strut Mount Spacers, but you can use 2.5" 3 piece exhaust flanges if you drill them out just a touch.

I have found that the taller springs ride a lot nicer then the spacer lifts.  They do tend to cost a bit more though.  If you want to mix and match you can pick up just a set of springs from Low Range Off-Road for 75 per pair.  :)

Your going to get a lot of rubbing and tire interference with only a 2" body lift and 31's, and no fender cutting. You'll either need to spring for a lift kit, OME,$700 or Calmini $900 both + a bunch of shipping costs depending where you are. Or coil spacer kit, there are several, anywhere from $100 to $300.  You'll want to add some longer rear shocks and strut spacers too if you go more than an inch and longer bumpstops too.  If money is tight, go for used lift parts in the garage sale. You can probably get everything you need for under $150 if you look around for used stuff. I like a 3.75 backspace, but that's just me. Good luck and welcome aboard!
The usual stuff, and 2nd generation Air to liquid intercooled TURBOCHARGER

I went with Jeff's 2" spacers in the rear and the 1.5" in the front for a total of 2" lift around and a 2" body lift. My 31's on 1.75 back spaced jeep cj wheels required fender cutting and hammering... its not bad though. IF I were you, that's what I would do... er, I mean, I have no regrets. It's great.

Yes it is shipped. The parts I supply are: 2-1.5" coil & 2-1.5" strut spacers for the front end, and 2-2" coil spacers for the rear, all the bolts and nuts you need for the strut spacers are also included. All you need is longer rear shocks and about 4 hours.  ;). You can get them as soon as you send me the $. The total shipped to you in the US is $130 or $140 to Canada. You can send payment thru paypal to: hoepkers|removethispart|@charter.net and also email me directly there. It is just "hoepkers" at... Disregard the remove this part. Please add a note to paypal to remind me what it is for. Thanks, Jeff

It's just under $200 after you buy shocks - it's a fantastic deal.
