I use a 1993 suzuki vitara 1.6 petrol for 4x4 trials. It is automatic.
We do not go very fast at these trials and never come out of first gear.
We do not use the vitara ib the road and there is no need to go faster than 15 miles per hour.
Everytime we go out in the trials we break a front cv joint.
please advise if there is somewhere i can buy stronger cv joints.i am in Ireland so it is a european model vitara,i think this is the same as the american tracker

Some people have modified the setup to use Toyota CV shafts, a nice upgrade.

It sounds like you have to much lift on the front end though if you keep breaking CV's.  What sort of angles are you running?  You might want to look at taking some lift out of the front end or doing a diff drop to take the angle out of the CV shafts.

is there a lot of work to putting toyota cv joints in the front of the vitara.can you buy the mod directly from somewhere,is there a place that sells stronger cv joints for a vitara

Nobody on this side of the pond seems to be working on this. I believe that you need to do the Hagen widening to allow the shafts to fit.

Ah, I didn't add anything more as I didn't know who was selling the kits to convert to the Toyota CV shafts.  Usually someone speaks up with an address to PM.
