  i disassembled my 88 sammi today i pulled the doors front cap and the engine in about 3 hours these little trucks are so simple its not even funny   :D heres what I'm putting back in  i got a 2004 silverado 4.3L v6 with 50000 miles on it for $300 from preferred auto salvage  gonna mate it to a 200r4 4 speed auto trans from an 86 Monte Carlo the little 1.3L has a hole in the block i can put my hand through

what are your plans for the housings? I've got a SJ 413K LWB, cab and box that I thought of putting a 4.3 in it. I don't think that the stocks will take too much 4.3 abuse.

i don't know yet I'm gonna get it running first then as money permits ill source some toyota axles or Dana 44s we'll cross that bridge when we get there

well i mated the engine and trans together this weekend  i set it in the truck to see how much clearancing I'm gonna have to do its not that bad i just have to widen the trans tunnel a few inches i ll throw some pics up when its done

I have just finished up with my 4.3 swap.  I did things a little different with a TBI 4.3 and using a Ford Top-Loader/Dana 18.  I am also using Dana 44 axles.
