If your talking about swapping the whole rear axle most of it will bolt right in place how ever the bolt pattern on the pinion flange to drive shaft is different.
Yep.
Plus, the driveshaft will need to be shortened. To accommodate the different flange and shortening, I had a shop take the back part of the XL-7's drivshaft and weld it to the front part of the Tracker's. You do get a cool CV joint instead of U-joint out of the deal, though.
Plus, the XL-7's frame is wider, but both trucks use the same length panhard bar, so you'll need to either shorten the bar or find a way to modify the mounting point on either the frame or the axle housing, or else just live with the entire rear end being offset 3/4 of an inch toward the driver's side.
Plus, the e-brake cable attaches differently at the drums, so you'll want to get ahold of XL-7 brake cables, too. They install just fine, just gotta loop them a bit to take up the extra length.
Plus, there are no known options for adding a locker or limited slip to the XL-7s rear diff.
