Rocky Road 2 inch body lift - need help
« on: August 31, 2004, 11:35:13 PM »
Hi there from Russia.
I am slowly building a Vitara (31' tires and some suspension lift already + some other minor things) and some time ago I
finally made a decision between 2" rocky road and 3" calmini kits and managed to bring "simple for install" rocky-road kit to Russia.
Got it Friday, unpacked the box.
What a ...k?
The kit is all right, but is it a proper installation instruction?  ???  ???  ???

I think it is not!  >:(  >:(  >:(
They explain virtually nothing!
Looking under the car for quite a long time I think I understood how to apply spacers but now I feel anxiety that they listed all the places I need to deal with (like gas hose).
I need this body lift to be installed before next trip however dont have too much time now for several attempts and my second car is temporarily disabled so I want to be confident that I finish same day I start and will be able to drive then at least to home  (have garage in other area).
So if you did that (or any similiar 2") body lift please help with any better explanation than that "instruction".
Or may be there is a installation report with pictures which I just couldn't find?
Thanks in advance,
Serge
PS. my Suzuka as it is now

Welcome Serge! Yes, the RRO instructions are terrible. I used Heather's Budget Lift Article as my guide. http://www.whitepineclub.com/offroad/tech/budgetbodylift/index.htm

Here's another good set of instructions but I've found that some of the mods really weren't necessary for my 2" lift:
