i have a 1988 sami that has a low range offroad gear set in the transfer vase and all new bearings and seals. it has slowly started jumping out of low range till now that i cant hardly keep it in at all. no problems with either high range also has the sloppy shifter poly bushings in it..... i remember the gears that one of the range selectors slides back and forth between had a little slant at there beginings. any ideas as what to do??? who sells the other gears that didnt come in my low range kit???

check the t-case mounts.  do you have a body lift? if so check to make sure the shifter is not hitting the floor board

What Ross said.  On mine I had that problem, ends up one of my T-Case mounts wasn't in the best of shape and the body would clip the selector when I hit obstacles and pop it out of gear.  Even after fixing everything I ended up putting a notch in my body to clear the shifter. 

well i got the good mount setup with kung fo grip.. but i will get it in the shop and take a closer look its possible but i think there is something internal.. i cant seem to fingd anywhere to get factory parts to replace the gears that didnt come with my low range kit..

 The only thing internal it could be is the shifter sheet. Also, do you have any vibration? If so, you might want to check U-joints on the intermediate driveline.

well i pulled the boot off and it was hitting the floor board i could really feel that cuz the boot was taking the hard hit out of it. notched the floor and the boot everything is good went crawling all day sat at disney,OK never came out once thanks for the ideas guys.

Check your mounts on the T-Case.  It is likely that either your upper mount is cracked or your long arm on the lower mount is bent. This can lead to T-Case failure down the road.

I don't think Hawk works at Hawk anymore. The last few times I've called, and the one time I showed up in person, I've noticed their customer service has gone down.... and they grimmiced when I asked for Hawk... said he wasn't there any more.
