That's is a GREAT lookin truck Blacknight!  Great job on those bumpers as well.  Where do you carry your spare?   I like the air vents built into the front as well.  How long did these babies take to fabricate?

Anyone got any thoughts on this. I'm thinking of buying something like this jeep bumper and then just doing checker plate aluminum on the side panels of the truck just behind the tires.

If the price is reasonable.... and the adaption to the Tracker frame is within the bounds of what you are willing to fabricate, it appears to be made of hefty enough steel to be useful.  I can't visualize the plate aluminum in for the side panels, my mind though.

It would almost have to be three pieces. Two on each side and a middle piece that runs along the rear and sits right under the rear door. It's a tough truck for doing custom rear stuff.

Appears that bumper would reduce the stock plastic overhang on the rear as well.

What kind of wheels do you have there, Popeye?  Those are sharp looking rims!   I've always preferred the factory steel rims (for my last two trucks), but with larger tires and not changing my gearing (yet) I''m thinking losing #20s per tire would be useful.   I liked the factory aluminium rims I had on my '96 Tracker, but I haven't found them on the net anywhere, lately.  Less expensive is always better, and I don't have a problem going used either.  I intend to sand them, paint them and clear coat them anyway if I found a used set.
