Power Steering
« on: August 21, 2008, 11:21:40 AM »
Need Help  I just finished lifting my 88 sami with an eight inch spring over and two inch body lift I am currently running 33x12.5x15 tires.  My question is what is the easiest/cheapest way to change to power steering and will I be able to keep my airconditioning?

Thanks

10" of lift to clear 3" more tire? I gotta see pics of this.

Not sure on the A/C, but which option do you want... the cheapest, or easiest? Easiest is to buy a P/S kit from one of the vendors. The cheapest is to get a box & pump from the junk yard, ebay or on one of these sites. The most common setups are toyota IFS, Toyota Celica, Toyota 2wd, Sidekick, Chevy Van & Nissan. Signaw & TC pumps are a favorite for people who want to run hydro in the future.

Too keep your air conditioning, there is only one kit available by a vendor. The RRO site offers a kit for use with a/c and a toyota pump and gearbox.
