SAS front driveshaft for a tracker

SAS front driveshaft for a tracker

OK, the SAS is just about done and it looks great, only thing is the front driveshaft, how does one adapt a slip yolk to a standard driveshaft without swapping t-cases and stuff like that? what did you SAS'd trackers use if you still have the slip t-case?

I think that some just used the existing slip yoke.  *yikes*

well the problem is the slip, I can deal with, Im talkin bout the angle.... my solid toy front end sits and flexes alot lower then the stock driveshaft will go, what driveshafts did everyone use?

i took the rear driveshaft ,had it shortned for the front . and had a 4 door shaft shortned for the rear. i had to die grind the shaft wear the u joints would hit eachother . it vibrates a little but havent had a failyer yet . when i break a joint ill put my sye case in , but no problems yet . nock on wood

nice.... thats what Im about to run for the time being, a friend suggested that, but I didnt know it would work well at all. do you get much travel out of it b4 it binds up? and did it ever slip out of the t-case?

We're using Toyota drivelines front and rear.

Look around, some Toyota drive lines are VERY high angle and nearly bolt up perfectly to Sidekick flanges.

hardly slips at all ,my trailing arms attach pretty close to the center of the u joints .
and yes it will flex ,after the grinding was done

Thank you very much for the info, Im gonna run the grinded out version first, I already got the rear stock one shortened so I just have to finish grinding it, in the mean time, I will start on the toyota shaft. I was thinking, instead of machining those plates, Ill just take a toyota flange off the t-case I got from a pickup and weld it to the tracker slip and then tap the shaft..... that should work....

My ideal solution right now is to get an XL7/GV V6, GV auto, and a 1.6L tcase that has the fixed yokes (basically doing what mesjr2004 did), then I'll run a square driveshaft with Toyota CV's and yokes front and rear.
