I just bought a Suzuki Jimny  with intentions to take this baby off road regular  its still fully standard right now but i would like to buy some 15x31x10.5 Mudzillas rims and tires a 2inch body lift and 2 inch suspension lift

         My question is is this to much for the Jimny's 1300cc engine?
       
         If so what would be ideal tires sizes?

         And or height for such a vehicle?

         I have an entire family into car racing so there may be a GT Turbo Starlet engine   
                       actually 2 laying around can i do a serious transplant?

         And what would i need to make it happen?

Not if you correct the gearing. Tcase gears are available for the Jimny and also conversions to use a Samurai tcase. The Sammy is a conventional tcase unlike the planetary gear arrangement in the Jimny

The wheel arches on the Jimny are relatively small, 235 tyres are a bit of a sqeeze, 31s can be accomodated but only with some cutting and bashing

         And or height for such a vehicle?

2" + 2" lift works quite well, if its going to be used on th road then get some castor correction bushes or modifed arms for the front.

Anything can be fitted if you have the skills.

Trial Jimny and APIO do gears for the t-case or as said you can swap in an earlier style t-case. Kits are available for the swap from D&G Tuning. You can mix and match using the Trial Jimny gears for the high range and the APIO for the low range for real crawling.

I personally think that a taller, narrower 235/85R16 (32") or 245/75R16 (31") is a better size. Get some rims from a GV or XL-7. If you are prepared to cut then you can do this with a 1" to 2" suspension lift to improve the ride and handling. Both front and rear lockers are available. If you come across any front axles, buy them as they are a real weak point and hard to find.

Changing the rims to ones of an xl-7 is a better idea the putting on 15'10.5 rock crawlers i don't think so the rims an tires combo I'm getting has 15x10.5x31 mudzilla tires and rock crawler rims i think thats a good buy what about u

A good buy is only a good buy if it is what you want. You will need to do a lot more work to make them fit but if it's a good buy.......

You're really going to need to address your gearing and you'll have to do this in the t-case due to the design of the front R&P as they are not interchangeable with other Suzuki R&P's.

One of the guys i know suggested putting two Tcases to adjust the gearing whats your opinion 

PROJECT UPDATE:
Latest development an engine change i will be trying a Toyota 1600cc 16 single cam instead of the 1300cc turbo starlet engine would not want to destroy turbo in river crossing

Have you considered a 1.6 Suzuki Baleno (Aerio?) engine swap. They are pretty much a straight swap, more power and lots more torque.

   That sounds like a great swap.has anyone on here done that?

If you have the G13BB sohc engine then you just need the bottom end of the G16B as all the head, intake etc bolts on and the injectors flow the same. You'll need to deal a minor engine mount adaption and the gearbox adaption which can either be done with a kit or some fabbing.

Maybe try the baleno engine swap gotta find one first tho
