inside looks good with bedliner i think ill do mine that way be great for cleanup time 4 doors would have been cool but this is awesome too

looks awsome my man. i agree with alot of welding part. stretched a soft top 21" last summer. have plans on doing a 4 door tin top(have 2 bodies and would like at least one more) some day.

Nice ride, good to see someone besides me thinking up cool body mods! I wanna make a removable hard top from a 2-door tracker fit behind the rear doors of my 4-door. Probably gotta extend the frame and use the quarters from the 2-door, but looking at your ride has me thinkin its doable!

Got a question fellas if anyone can help me out here. I tried to search for my Specific Question, but I could not find the answer.

anywho............ I am running the 1.6 16 valve and I have aquired a 1.3 EFI zuk gas tank. I understand this can be used, but as far as the wiring goes. There is a 2 wire plug from the EFI tank and I need to know which wire from the EFI tank is the hot wire? Also the other I am assuming is a ground right?

to do from front to rear (keep in mind the rig is stretched) I used a little more than 2 gallons. Also I put 3 coats on the inside of the rig. My first coat I used more because I rolled it on which used a little more than if I sprayed it on. When spraying it .......... it seems to use less and also spraying gives a real nice texture. I will post up pics tomorrow of the finished product.

you can use 2 gallons and do 2 coats and have a little left over for touch-ups if you are applying to a normal tub.

also.......this stuff is hard as a rock when fully cured.

hmm, i dunno about that water based system.  I mean, its REALLY nice that there is no fumes, but in general a $30 respirator would take care of any would be fumes.  Anyways, from anyyone that i've ever talked to or  have read, water based products are just not as strong as oil based, urethane or paint..  Also, the 3 day cure thing kinda boggles me??  So unless he has found something "new" i'm curious?  However, it looks like urethane coating.  Anyways, it still comes down to two things, line-x and such use a polyurea based product, which is stronger and has better UV resistance as well has an activator that is added, most DIY kits are polyurethane based and don't have an activator.  I'm guessing the Second Skin kit was one part??  I have used a MYRIAD of bedliners and the best i have found are made by Dominion Sure Seal, they are gator gaurd which is the only epoxy based kit i have found, and it does very well when applied to bare metal, as long as enough coats are applied, and then hippo liner which is a two part system, (ie. it has an activator)  and they also make a water based system as well.  HOWEVER, prep, prep and prep, and then coats, 3 coats is minimum being brushed or rolled on, anything less won't be strong enough.  I've coated rocker panels, the floor of my previous vehicle, as well as the bed i made for it, the rear of the cab, inner fenders, frame rails, and other various body work, and pretty much everything was done with a different product....

Norzuki, i don't mean to bash your work, or the product you've found, i'm sure its good, there is just a CRAP ton of stuff that floats around out there about bedliners, and most people don't know base information about bedliners.

You have every right to offer up any other liners my friend. I should have noted that Ant with SecondSkin just developed this Bed Liner product and myself ....... along with a few others have agreed to do an install and a write-up on this product.

The write up along with a honest (non-bias) report will be started here and on a few other 4x4 boards. Along with Ants SecondSkin forum.

From what I have seen/read over on Ants web site. He is more into developing sound deadening materials, but I can honestly say that after applying the 2nd coat the other day and wating for a day ........... the product does cure hard. With that said.........the durability standpoint will not start for me until May at the Zuwharrie event.

Again..........I understand there are quiet a few bed liner products out there. Some are not worth the time and some are extremely impressive. I have used Hurculiner & Plasticoat liners in the past and I can honestly state that this new Second Skin liner shows promise where the other 2 really didn't.
