Well the rain is keeping me in the shop today.
Almost done with the battery tray where I will use to mount to the rear floor area just between the seats  ;D

I will have pics a little later of it completed or almost completed.

No ........ they actually a light orange. Not what I was expecting, but they will do. I thought they would be a darker orange.

Im in the market for some new seats, the stock sami ones are starting to kill my back after a day of wheeling.  What was the damage to your wallet for those bad boys?
I was thinking about getting myself some PRP racing seats but they seem kinda pricey....but they are super comfortable!!!

Builds looking awesome!  Cant wait to see the finished product.

Ah, I was wondering why they didn't match.  Being partially color blind I don't really see the light oranges very well.  :D

not much I can do right now. Waiting for Friday to get here so I can buy the 2x4 tubing to start building the bumpers.

Started working on trying to figure out how to mount the racing seats and broke one of the allen head bolts off. Used the easy out and I will dang if that didn't break off in the hole I drilled out. Now I am going to have to cut off the small piece of threaded tubing that the bolt goes in and re-weld another one if I can find any threaded tubing.

Hers what I am thinking:

- 3/16" aluminum plate x 2
- mounting the new seat sliders to the plates (grade 8 bolts with thick washers)
- fabbing some brackets for the aluminum plates to be mounted to the stock holes in the floor

Unti Friday I will just be buttoning up odd and ends.............pics to come Friday I hope...........supposed to rain all weekend.

WOW !! Weather was wacky here earlier. Tornadoes galore

Anywho.........

No pics of the bumper just yet (Tomorrow)

I decided to use the ends of that rear stock round tube as a mounting point.

Let me see if I can splain this.......

I took the hole saw and made 2 end caps for the tube. Before I welded them in I drilled 1 hole in each a little bit bigger than 3/8". I then welded a nut on the backside of the endcaps. Welded them in and POOF !! mounting points part (A)....Part (B) will utilize the rear body mounts. I drilled the holes out bigger so I can use larger grade 8 bolts.

Only pics I have are of the end caps installed with the nuts on the backside.

Finished up plating the front bumper at the weld seams. I had a universal winch plate and decided to cut it down and weld it to the top of the bumper. ............ ran out of wire. So I will finish it up tomorrow.

A couple more pics...............

Here you can see how the missing links rest on the modified pad brackets
