how wide is the one used in the Hagen mod? This one measures 66 inches across from where the wheels mount.

I will try and get Troy to measure mine. It's a Currie built to Jeep CJ widetrack width, but I bo not remember what that was (I think slightly narrorer than the Kick axle).

I'm thinking it is much wider than stock. like 11 inches. maybe i will cut the tubes off and use it for the front, ala 37kicker's mod. Or i may see how wide it is with zero offset wheels. i plan on running the 39.5 x 16.5 pitbull rockers. I only paid $80 for the axle.

Yeah, that's way too wide to match. If I remember correcly, 58" WMS to WMS is equivelant to a Sidekick axle width. But, you can get aftermarket 9 inch stuff cheap. So save your 3rd member and brakes, the get a housing and axles made to order. You'll still be way ahead.

Mine is 54" Back of rotor to back of rotor/ probably making mine 56" WMS to WMS. With my 1.5" spacers it pushes it out a little further thatn stock width.

you could cut down the stock housing and have the axel resized and splined

yup. doing a lot of searching on pirate now.
looking to make it 35 spline, full float as cheaply as possible.
i like all the gear options available for it. Thinking of 7.33 ratio  (39.5" tires)
as this will be driven on the street too.

looking to do the front 9" also like 37kicker
