Idler Arm Question
« on: October 02, 2007, 01:26:02 PM »
My idler arm is wiggling, seems like a bad bushing  ::) I need to fix it ASAP to get me through safety inspection till I can get the upgrade from Sky. Can I just remove the arm/bushing to replace it with another used one, rather than unbolting the whole thing from the frame?

Hi Uncivilised  ;D

Just pop the ball joint and undo the nut then drop it out. Bolt new one in and hey presto  ;)

Thanks Zeus, I actually had a better look at it right after I posted and noticed the lock washer wasn't compressed, so I tightened up the nut. It doesn't wiggle anymore. I still want the Sky idler though.
