Unmouting a trac/kick body
« on: September 26, 2007, 03:21:03 PM »
I'd like to hear from folks that have totally unmounted a body from a trac/kick frame.

What's the *best* way to unhook the harness? Should I simply unplug and have some left with the body and some with the engine/frame?

I'm thinking about dismantling both my 2dr and a parts rig 4dr ... and both to frame only.

The plan is to have the 2dr body caged up (and chopped behind the seats), get the bare 4dr frame SAS'd, and then mount the 2dr caged body up to the SAS'd 4dr frame.

Both are 8v auto's, and I plan on retaining the zuk engine/trans/tcase.

When it comes to caging the 2dr body tho it'll probably need to be "wire free" ...
