i get the feeling my shock cracked when i had to get winched sideways when wedged between two stumps, it broke a couple hours after that happened.

Chuckling as I envision you using the shock as a recovery point.  Heh.

LOL no, not quite, that would have been funny then just bad..  wish i had a pic from that stuck, i was pretty pissed at myself for getting to that point.. sometimes you just can't trust your spotters.  the winching wasn't quite directly sideways, we were able to use the recovery point on the back.

has anyone ever come to a conclusions as to what is the best for coil lifts in our trucks?

I was using Munroe 550011s for a long time until the rubber wore out on the bottom bolt...

They were good until that happens, but I'd like to find a shock that extends that extra 2-3" inches while remaining close in compression with the same fittings...

I was thinking of ordering the pro-comps but curious what others are thinking... like the Ranchos?

80's model tbird shocks, this is after crown vics, mustangs and cavaliers on mine.  maybe not for a 2door but i run them on my xl7 and if i still had my 2dr i'd certainly be trying them~!
