New Tires-31x10.50
« on: July 27, 2007, 07:23:10 AM »
Well. I had every intention of running a 32" tire on the tracker, but I ran across a great deal on a set of 31's.. I've never heard of them before; Federal Couragia M/T. They are a rougher tread than I had intended to use, but I like the look of them, and they are actually not very loud at all.

And just for reference, this is what I started with on May 31, 2007

Let me know what you guys think. The only reason I've moved along so quickly is because of all the members here at ZUKIWORLD! ;D

The tires look cool.

In general, brand new mud terrains are pretty quiet, but as they get more worn, they can get louder.

Looks good and I like the agressive tread!  Looks like you're awfully tight on space at the back of the front wheelwell and front of the back though.

yea, you'll wanna trim the front fenders, and the rear will probably lose the stock fender (and may also need a trim too boot).

flex it out *before* you hit trails, or else you might end up chewing those nice shoes.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it.

It's running a 2" spacer lift from Jeff, along with a strut mount flip and Crown Vic shocks. I trimmed the inside of the front fender and beat back the firewall seam. That's it. I love the aggresive tread, and on the ROAD I have absolutely no rubbing at all. I did some mild little jeep trails today (really just logging roads through the backwoods), and still only rubbed a VERY small bit one time. Tomorrow I'm gonna hit the trail behind the house and flex it out and try some obstacles to get a full stuff in each fenderwell because I know I need some trimming before I hit any trails too hard. Thanx for the input guys! :)

Who cares what brand they are , they look awesome!! I like them better than my 31" Super Swampers. Where did you get them? What a BIG difference the lift and tires make on these things. When I see a stock Track/Kick I cannot believe I used to drive that thing! These little things are just awesome and with a little work look great too.

I'd like to know where you got those tires from as well, look great and if they're easy on the wallet I'd be into a pair.

Wow. Thanx for all the positive input guys, makes me feel like I may be on the right track here. The only thing I know about the tires is that I had never heard of them before, Federal Couragia M/T. I got them from our local tire and allignement shop in my SMALL hometown, Edmonton, Kentucky, so I don't know about the availability everywhere else. If these things wear pretty well, I'll probably continue to use them after this set wears out.

Jeff- No kidding about the lift and tires going a long way on these trackers. I parked beside a bone stock Tracker in town the other day, and WOW. They looked like 2 totally different vehicles.

Hey HotRod, don't lose the flames. Your rig is amazing. Do you know what I would give for a winch, set of bumpers, Calmini Lift, and 32's? Plus, the flames are what make it a HotRod!! ;D

That looks great! I've been waiting to install my 2" body lift before mounting my 31's, but now that I see yours fit, I think I might put them on before the body lift ;) Did you only trim onside the fender, or was there any on the outside fender?

Yup, only the inside of the fender. I haven't touched the outside of it at all. After I do some serious wheeling I think I may need to trim them up a little bit, like during full stuff situations that I have to have my wheels turned. But for just mild trails and driving everyday, I don't have any issues..

Hey LilRed- That's good to know. I've never seen another modded tracker or sidekick around. I work in BG. I work for Coca Cola and deliver in BG with one of those big ugly trucks you see all the time lol, so I'm there every day of the week!
