can i seal up my ecm?

Hi guys im new here and i have a ? I have a 92 tracker two door and i want to run it thru the deep water. And i was wondering if i could put the computer and relays under the dash in a sealed box? and any other info that might be useful will greatly appreicated!!!

I would not see a problem doing that. I doubt the ECM builds much heat but I could be wrong. Make sure you buy or build a snorkel before getting very deep, the intake is in the inner fender. I found that out the hard way, busted rod.  >:(

I know a guy that tried it with tupper ware and it cooked it, you could run some fuel line into it and run it up the inside of the windshield frame and run another one to the air intake ahead of your map or mas sensor to get some air flowing in the box. and get some marine spray for the ecm board.

Thanks guys for the info and i already have a homemade snorkel! it will go in water over the hood but i am really afraid that the ECM will get wet and short out.

I have seen an ECM on another vehicle but not on a Kick where the guy just sealed the ECM and used a small tube for a snorkel for it. As it was not placed in a box the heat build up was not an issue. Just food for thought.
