Another milestone!
« on: December 12, 2004, 01:37:48 AM »
My Sidekick surpassed the 124230 mile (200000KM) mark and she still goes strong!

Born in March of 1991 in Ingersoll Ontario, she was initially bought by some else first, two years later (Oct 1993) she came into my loving arms.

As of right now I can't fore tell any major problems happening, as I take very good care of the maintenance, oil/filter change every 3107 miles (5000KMs), coolant flush once every two years, spark plugs/cap/rotor change once every two years, K&N filter cleaned once a year and so on.

Next summer I'm getting her AT fluid replaced, new fuel filter and get the brake system flush and filled.  Oh yeah I also have to get the hand brake repaired as I noticed that the wire connecting to the rear drivers side wheel snapped...seems like it would happen sooner or later.

Anyhow, here's to many more years of driving fun!  ;D

I miss my Tracker as a daily driver... especially when the weather's shitty out, and I'm slipping all over in the Fiesta :(

Congrats!

I've just hit 158k miles on mine (~150mi/wk as DD).

Of course, it's in pieces now, so hopefully I'll have it back together soon and back on the road  :-/

BTW, I clean/re-charge my K&N every oil change (~3333 miles).  Mine's an open air element, so it's probably getting dirtier than one in the box.

Yeah I think it may be different from a stock air box element.  Plus I don't hit to many dusty roads with my Sidekick.  I'd say it's 95% city/highway driving.

Hey Flames-
3107? Why that #? So basically, if you're cruising down the road and hit 3107, you'll just pull over and drain the old oil, eh?  :P

I don't get it, I got 33 LTB swampers,
Turbo, Locked in rear but not in front,
and I have only broke 1-22 spline axle,
and that's from bouncing and trying to
go up this almost cliff angled dirt ledge.

I would have made it if the axle didn't snap,
I was just cresting the top when I bounced
and snapped that sucker off right at the spline
