if money is a concern, I suggest doing as much of the work yourself as you can, or in many cases it is usually easier to know someone who can, one thing you might want to try is finding a local off-road club to join, there are usually very knowledgable people in those clubs, alot of the times with knowledge of many different rigs, aswell as places to find parts, or people who have parts... etc, etc. another tip I would suggest is subscribing to an off road magazine, go to barnes and global and look through the selection, I suggest peterson's, however four wheeler is good to. or both, if you can afford it, there is a wealth of info in both of those mags. another cool thing about joining an off-road club is theres usually a few guys more than willing to help you wrench, for little or no charge, (beer, whiskey) etc.
