Usually, that means that the fiberglass is blowing out of it, which is the main disadvantage of a glasspack muffler. 

I didn't know they still made Cherrybombs.  Those things were around back when I was in high school, but most of the guys went for their main competitor's product, the "Thrush".  Maybe it was just because Thrush had a cooler logo, the angry looking bird with the cigar...

The cherrybomb that is 1 7/8" inlet 1 3/4" outlet has  an 11 degree bend at the outlet and inlets.  Will this cause a big problem.  Is the cherrybomb fairly simple to install?  I live in an apartment, so I am limited to simple projects only. 

I'd also like to know as I will most likely be buying on Friday.

If I recall correctly, the offset is there to compensate for the fact that most stock mufflers have the inlet to one side and the outlet to the other.  In other words rotate the picture slightly so the inlet and outlet are horizontal.  It  should line up straight with the pipe going into the muffler and the outlet pipe should also be horizontal and line up with the tailpipe.

Look at your stock muffler.  If it has this type of configuration, it should work.  Hold the Cherrybomb up to it and you can tell if it is going to work without having to bend a new tailpipe.

It shouldn't be too difficult.  If your muffler is more than 14 inches diagonally from the inlet to the outlet, you may have to cut out some of your exhaust pipe.  Ideally it is just a matter of a couple clamps and maybe a hanger.  At worst, everything's rusted into a solid mass and crumbles to pieces when you start trying to take it apart.   It's a good Saturday afternoon project.
