Buying Tires And Tims - This Week
« on: December 27, 2006, 12:12:22 AM »
Hello All I need some help....

I am going to buy some times, I am in California so they are somewhat pickey about how far our tires stick out....one inch or so is ok....

I have 2" Suzuki OEM Flares...

I was planning on running 15 inch Rims (8" Wide) (or maybe even a  16" rim if suggested)

I will be running BFG AT 10.05

Any suggestions on what I should be looking at for Backspacing...

I have heard 3.75 tends to be good..

i have 15x8 wheels, 3.25" backspacing + 1" wheel spacers, and 31x10.5 tires. ive heard anywhere between 2.5 and 3" backspacing works well.

13 inch gold plated wire spoke wheels with white walls;D jk, Naw 15 inch rims are probably the best size for the sidekick/tracker because it is a very common size and there are lots of different tires that fit those rims. That also makes me wonder why toyota is putting 17 inch rims on their trucks now, as 17s usually have the least amount of selection when it comes to tires.
Runnin' it stock with 225/75R15s and an unmodified 8valve TBI motor (I need a doug thoroley header and a cam) (more power) (1.6 liters of madness) (vroom + sewing machine sounds)

Yankee Bob is runnning 33's on 17" rims with 2" BS.  The 17" rim means less sidewall, and less deflection.  33"s on 15's aired down makes for a sloppy ride.
