Those sliders look pretty neat. I don't think you'd have any problems with bending them as they'd distribute the force of an impact over the whole side of the car. Body mounts might be a different story. I don't rockcrawl round here though, mostly forest and trail driving. HOWEVER back at the ranch... I just did a whallopload of work on my rockerpanels to fix the body rust from the previous owner and I'd like to have mine removable as to gain acess and check on the rust. Around here (atlantic Provinces) body work must be done every 2-5 years. for instance I have to do touchup work on chips and some bubbles this summer to prevent rust even though I painted the whole truck last summer. (I know that refects on my paintjob, but I"m no pro he he ).I wish they didn't use as much salt but that's life. and even in the summer an undercoating does a lot when it comes to sea spray. he he.
