I know alot that run em in the Ranger/Bronco II community. It's a great tire for the money! I've yet to hear any real complaints, and alot of good praise.

Looks like they changed the design of the old STT to emulate the MTR ;D

I say if you don't get Coopers, then go for something like Kumho Venture MTs or Dunlop Mudrovers... cheap radial mud terrain tires are the win!

One of the guys I work with has those no complaints not a bad tyre, but I would definetly check out Dunlop Mud Rovers we've used them on a bunch of rigs and never been dissapointed ;D

Well, for what it's worth I got a set of Discover AT's.  They are a fantastic all around tire.  They are 100% better in the snow than the Unyroyal Tigerslicks that came with the Tracker.  Also better in the rain.  In fact, in the snow, I can now get out of the driveway in 2WD.  Never was able to do that before.  HTH, Dave  BTW, not sure how they are OFF ROAD YET!!! ;D

trackinstile, I couldn't agree with you more. I currently have Discoverer A/T's and they have been awesome. I have been off-road with mine, many times, and they do load up with mud like any A/T will but I've been knee deep in mud and haven't got stuck, yet. ;)

Hey, I got to try mine today coming home from work.  New Jersey declared a state of emergency, it's snowing pretty good up here in Western New Jersey.   It was a diffrence from night  and day in the snow.  They pulled and grabbed very well.  The only problem, well not problem, but thing that I noticed about the Tracker is that it's has a  little narrower track than just about anything else on the road.  So, if your following people in the snow (like I was) you have to try to stay out of their tracks or else your fighting the steering wheel in their rutts, no matter what, it seems I'm catching one rut or another.  However, if I'm cutting my own path in the snow, it's terrific.  These Coopers are much much better than the stock Unyroyals, and really did help me get home in the white stuff.  Now, all I have to do is fire up the old Simplicity snowblower and let it rip!!!  Have fun in the snow,     Dave ;D

What's a tag along?

Only ones I've heard of were either pop up campers or Girl Scout cookies.

10 Stitches from a Girl Scout cookie would REALLY SUCK  ::)

Though we did have a guy at work last week chip a tooth pulling tape off of the roll...  His hand slipped  and wacked him good :-/

I'll base things like this
Siping is always required for winter traction
for hard pack and ice, you need biting edges

the new STT appears to have alot more than the old one
But still not something I would state would give it an extreme winter tire

The large lugs and channels will be great in deep snow as like other mudders and the extra siping will help tremendously more than most mud tires

i'll bet in snow deeper than 5", these STT's will probably blow the BFG a/t's out of the water

but in anything less and hard packed w/ ice
the AT's siping and soft compound will defeinately be much better

in Winnipeg, whre our climate is generally snow on ICE on our streets
the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S's dominate by far
far better than the BFG a/t's as they are a even softer compound with much better edge biting design

but in the deep stuff, they still work decently too

Finally somebody else that thinks the good year at/s are awsome, I couldnt beleive the snow performance they've given me this year!.. I was driving my stock s15 Jimmy in fresh snow over the front bumper no problems atall.. they also clear mud ect much better than the bfg's do, and from my experience they are built much stronger than the bfg at's aswell.   ontop of that in the snow they out performed my gf's new interco trxus mt's that are said to be " magical in snow and ice "

undoubtly the best winter truck tire IMO

however... tougher than the T/A ko's is tough to say
the BFG A/T's have a more ridged shoulder also

The A/T's are a better all around AT in my opinion than the ATS
but the ATS is the best winter truck tire
