No, I cut the door a bit low, I should have cut it so it was in line with the line on the wings. It didn't look quite right but If I get another door cheap I will have another go. Its going to be a long time before its warm enough for half doors now. I've kept the cut down door to remind me of where I went wrong. IIRC someone did do theirs, I'm sure there are some pics on here somewhere. I do think that it would be a good mod, it feels really good with the doors cut down and would look great with the top down. It gives it a bit of a 'buggy' look.

Thats more like I was thinking at the front. I left a bit at the rear to meet up with the swage line on the B pillar as well. When I marked mine out for cutting I made the level low enough for me to be able to easily jump in without opening the door. Next time I'll cut it a little higher and add steps ;D. Without the glass and window frame the doors are so much lighter. I had to cut off my door hinge pivot pins as they were the rivetted type. The early type with the circlip were a straight swap. IIRC even the circlip type had a knurled area on the end to stop them coming out easily, I filed it off. Be careful if you have to drift out the pins, the hinges bend very easily - took me ages to get them lined back up again. Try and get as much paint off the pin before removing it.

Thanks for postin' the pics Quaddawg!  Those are probably better than any I have myself since our digital camera bit the dust shortly after I got the doors!

I love mine.  They were realitively simple to do, with the right tools, and given that I wasn't worried about em coming out perfect as no other body panels on my Zuk are straight or unscratched!  The difference in the weight of the full doors and these is amazing.  Really increases my visibility out the sides too.  And with some padding, they make a great armrest!!  Thought about putting built in cupholders, but figured they'd just catch mud!

My inspiration was SafariKick's doors.  His are awesome!  Really professional job.  Here's a link to pics of his. . .
http://www.zukiworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=11603.0.

Mine were cut along the top bump in the outside door line except for the jag up to were the mirror is.  Then, on the inside of the door, we cut even with the rise in body of the back qtr panel.  From that same line, (right at the bottom of the outside door handle) we folded the outside door panel down over the gap.  Had to weld in another piece below the mirror.  The outside door handle was then on top of the door and could still be used.  I thought it looked pretty cool.  But ended up just covering ours with padding cause the handle would be just another dirt catcher on a trail rig.  We cut down the interior panel even with the door and reattached it.  The padding covers the top of the interior panel.  I use a pull through the old window crank hole for a door release, at least for now.  Wish I'd taken pics.  SafariKick might have some of his.
