made a skid plate

this is the skid plate before it was mounted it goes from the ifs mount bracket to the end of the slipyoke coming oiut the rear of the t-case.






this is r pics of my 4 year old daughter takin off the rear tire. the car in the pic is a 1965 Austin Healy.


4 1/2 body

my brother hit it with his jeep.


it is on haven't had time to take pics, unfurtunatly i don't have a camera i have to use my dad's at his house.

it is 3/8 thick i did th sledgehammer test i couldn't dent it so it was good.

I would of thought something around 3/16 with either a few ribs or cross brakes in it would have be sufficient ??

I think 3/16 should be enough. That's about 5mm thick if needed you could add a few braces. That would be lighter and lighter is allways better  ;)
But, tracker8wr if you find some time post pics of it installed  :D

LOL ! I like to "over engineer" things myself but when I seen 3/8" I thought your next question would be "how do I get another 20Hp out this thing to compensate for the weight of my bash plate ?"  ;D

well with a 3/8 skid plate my next question would how hard is a V-6 swap.

I have kids on skateboards that pass me with all the skid plates and bullbar attacted to mine. :P
