West valley suzuki
« on: February 03, 2005, 05:14:06 PM »
I am postings as to warn other were not to buy a car. I went to shop for a new xl 7 at west valley suzuki located in utah. I have never had a worse shopping experance in my life. I asked for a out the door qoute he refused to give me one unless i filled out a credit app. I said there was no need for that cause with out price i would not know if i want the car. The general sales manager then came out and said i was wasting there time unless i filled out a credit app. How can they expect you to buy with out price. You would go to a appliance store and give them you credit card with out first asking price. would you? Then the sales manager refused to give me my keys to my car but and sat there in front of me talking crap about me not wanting to fill out a credit app.

I am so mad at that dealership it almost turns me off to ever buying a suzuki agian. I wonder if there is a way to report things like that to suzuki.

I use the customer service of Suzuki Canada Online many times and I have always received good answers from them. I dont know if there is one for the United States, but if there is, USE IT.

I once had a Saturn dealer who wouldn't give me back the keys to my car.  I was actually digging out the cell phone to call the cops when they finally gave them back.

WHY did you give them the keys to your car.  They DON'T test drive my trade in until I have driven their car and decided I liked it enough to buy.

I don't get it.  It costs them nothing to go for a test drive and give you a price.  They probably charge different prices if you pay cash or finance it.

Make a Weekend Trip to Denver.

Go to Shortline Suzuki - Alameda, and Havana (roughly) just a little way off I-225, and Alameda (maybe a block south of Alameda on Havana).  (303) 364-2200

I bought my 92 4-door Kick, both my 95 4-door Kicks, and my 99 Grand Vitara there.  Good place.

Second best place in Denver, is Denver Suzuki, on 104th Avenue, between I-25 and Federal (closer to Federal, west of I-25)  (303) 404-6500

Yes, I keep both these dealers programmed into my cell phone.  Both great places.  I prefer Denver Suzuki for Service and Parts.

There is a Harley dealer in my area that is the same way. If you ask them a price, the salesman dodges the question, and wants you to fill out a credit app. They want to see what you are worth and price it from there. One of the things about Harleys is that you will pay at least MSRP. These guys are still adding to that. Like another 2-3K. Fck that. They still won't give a price, they will crunch numbers for your deal and just tell you what you owe. Well, you need to look at those numbers and they are not in my favor. If you have great credit, expect a high price or little trade. Because you can afford it. What a crappy deal. How do you think they afford the huge building? Your great credit, that's how. Don't give up on Suzuki, just that dealer. I definately gave up on that Harley dealer. I can get a better deal somewhere else.

Yeah, that sucks about dealers.. we have a couple of those around here. I like the ones though that when you're test driving that nice brand new car, they say, would you like to take it for this test drive overnight, and see how you like it?  :o (I get images in my head about the trouble I might cause.. haha)

Well it comes down to it i was going to pay cash. But i didn't want to say it because they wouldn't of budge on the price if i did. I bought a lot of cars and have never been treated like that before. The salesperson had enough nerve to follow up today and ask if i was ready to come fill out the paper work and get in the xl 7. I told him to get Bent. I looked on the suzuki website and there is no way to contact them for compliants. I'm almost thinking of turning them into the Better business. I'm not giving up on suzuki i'll just hold off because the only one i wanted is the one they have and no other dealer in utah has it. It a 05 pearl white xl 7 ex II with leather and touring package.

You know, come to think of it, I think I saw one of those in the Dennis Dillon Suzuki parking lot the other night. We're not all that far away here in Boise, you know..

EDIT:

ack.. looks like the one they list has cloth. :P

Are you against any 04's? They have a silver one, a tan one, a red one, and oooooh a blue one.. all with leather..
