Tracky got a lift (pics)
« on: June 20, 2006, 07:00:13 PM »
Well I finally got a chance to do some work on my Tracker.  I found some 31x10.50 tires, and gathered up the stuff to do the budget lift (which was really easy, Thanks to the writer of that great piece on Zuwharrie.com).  Anyway, this is just a start.  I am planning on add a light bar to the roof and set it up with a tow bar so I can drag it to the deer lease instead of hauling it on a trailer like I have been.  (Tired of borrowing trailers  ;D).  Well, on with the pics.  They are nothing special, but she's mine.  Like the words to a song I heard, "She ain't the best, but she's the best that I can do". ;)

Thanks.  That is my $6 Wal-Mart/Krilon custom paint job.  High dollar stuff were talking about here.  It's not affordable for most people ;D ;D ;D.  (It takes 6 cans of paint to do a 2 door tracker ;))

The spare has been replaced.  I took the first pic after I blew a tire on it at the deer lease.  Ran over something.

Here she is running around the garage topless.  Sexy little thing isn't she? ;D

I still want to add a light bar to the roof.  Anybody got any suggestions?  I figured it would be best to just make one.  It that what everyone else has done?

Pretty much the lift that is illistrated on Zuwharrie.com.  Took me about 2 hours to do.  I did not have to lengthen all the shifters though because I have an automatic.  I only had to do the transfer case.  I still need to lengthen the filler tube for the gas tank, but haven't been to worried about it because I pretty much only run this thing out at the deer lease.  It is not even licensed. ;D
