Thanks guys and gals - that's what I needed to know. I wouldn't mind a little clicking now and then - just wanted to make sure it wasn't irritatingly loud :)

I think the lockrite is fine.  Mine has had it installed for 15 years and it still works good.  No big problems and you get use to the clicking and banging.

Its all in how you set it up if it makes alot of noise or none. Side gear wear also makes a huge differance. I have set up a few now and kinda got a feel for it. I love the lockrights for the price. But, the Detroit has exaclty the same parts. They look identical.

Yea, but I toasted the Detroit twice, where as the other three Zuki's in our group hasn't broken a single Lockright.   ;D

Maybe it has something to do with the operator???  (usually does...lol)

I've heard almost exactly the same comments on Jeep, Ford, GM, and Dodge forums about EZ-Lockers and Lock Rights.  Enough that I've never wanted to consider an EZ-Locker.  It could be an urban myth, but when you run into it on several different forums and it's always the same...
