Lift picture/infor thread
« on: April 29, 2006, 02:10:28 PM »
Well since som many are now lifting thei Vit/Track I though I would start a thread with pics of the lifts as well as teh specifications. What would be nice is if people with lifts would post pics from the side, front and rear, as well as the front suspension geometry (front under the truck) so we can see teh CV angles on different lift heights. I'll be posting mine with a 1.5 inch suspension lift in the front and 2 inch in the rear + 2 inch body lift running on 245/75/16's. I have the BDS front strut extenders and rear ranchos from an 89 landcruiser.

I suggest that we keep this a sticky

I was wondering if anyone has a FAQ on how to install the Rocky Road 2" BL?
I'm thinking of ordering it, but I'm not a big fan of having to weld shifter extentions

I just noticed that your bodylift is barely noticeable. 2 inch is a good height for the body lift on a 2nd gen kicker I guess. I also like the grille, how do you get the stock one out? finally, did you make those spacers or buy them somewhere and if you bought them where?

thanks

Nomaad did an excellent write up for the RRO bodylift on an XL. It should be the same. Here is the link: http://www.carneyco.com/ProjectNomaad.pdf
I'll post pics of mine when I can.

Hey Guys,
I'll be selling the suspension lift I currently have on the Grand Vitara. The lift consists of BDS 2" strut spacers that you can use with your stock strut bar. 4 HMWP Spacers (1.5" front and 2" rear) as well as a set of Rancho shocks that are 2" longer. I decided I don't want the GV quite so high as I already have the body lift installed. $200 for all if you're interested.
