lifts for newbs...
« on: February 17, 2005, 11:07:17 AM »
okay, i have tried the search and couldn't find what I was looking for....

what is the cheapest, easiest 2-3 inches worth of lift I can do at home in the driveway?

don't want lots of lift, but would like a bit bigger tire.  My sammy is an 88 bone stock.

well you kind of touched a sore subject for some theres a few ways to doit  you can go with springs  but stay away from big dick springs they ride like crap. next you can do shackels  they screw up your steering then there is spring over  there is a kit out that is bolt on or you can weld them on  last time i did a spring over i swaped it all out put the new perces on bolted it up borrowed a car dolly towed it to a welder and he welded it up total cost a benny and a 12 pack  there is also a shackel reversal by cal mini  but the fangs get in the way  remember get longer brake lines
if it don't fit     lick it
